CEO OF A COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN MAKING FURNITURE IN SWEDEN SINCE 1896.

I became CEO of SA Möbler AB on 1 June 2026, after my father, Kjell Hammar. He acquired the company in 1982 and, together with my mother, spent decades developing it into the business it is today. I have a great deal of respect for that work, which is exactly why I am careful with it. Before becoming CEO I was leadership assistant here from February to June 2026, and long before that I bought for the company from November 2004 to June 2018.

SA Möbler was established in 1896. That is not a marketing line. It is a factory in Tibro with its own production, its own people, and desks, storage, meeting tables and public interiors that are made here. Much of what makes that possible sits with people who have been doing this work for years.

My job as CEO is to hold a clear direction, get decisions made, and make sure the work actually moves. Part of that is modernizing where it is worth it: ways of working, sales, international business development, digital tools, e-commerce, reporting, and how we present what we make. Keep what works, improve what can be improved, and bring in new methods where they genuinely help. That is the next stage of a long history, not a break from it.
