CEO OF A COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN MAKING FURNITURE IN SWEDEN SINCE 1896.

I became CEO of SA Möbler AB on 1 June 2026, succeeding my father, Kjell Hammar.

He acquired the company in 1982 and, together with my mother, spent decades developing it into the business it is today. I have a great deal of respect for what they built, and for the people who have carried that work forward over the years.

My own connection to SA Möbler goes back much further than the CEO role. I worked with purchasing for the company from November 2004 to June 2018, and returned in February 2026 as leadership assistant before becoming CEO a few months later.

SA Möbler has been making furniture in Tibro since 1896.

That history matters, but not because of the number itself. It matters because there is real knowledge behind it: people who understand the products, the materials, the machinery, the customers and the small decisions that make production work.

We manufacture desks, storage, meeting tables and furniture for public environments in our own factory. Much of what makes that possible was built long before I took on this role.

As CEO, I carry the overall responsibility for the company, but I do not run it alone.

SA Möbler works because people in production, sales, design and administration know their areas, make decisions and solve problems every day. My role is to help give that work direction, make sure important decisions are made and create the conditions for the different parts of the company to move in the same direction.

In practice, my responsibilities include sales, international business development, investment, ways of working, reporting and how we develop the company for the years ahead.

Part of that work is modernisation.

That does not mean changing things simply because they are old. It means looking carefully at how we work, what already works well and where better tools or methods can genuinely help.

That includes sales, digital tools, e-commerce, reporting, internal processes and how we present our products to customers who increasingly find and evaluate suppliers online.

The principle is simple: keep what works, improve what can be improved and introduce something new only when it makes the company better.

I did not found SA Möbler, and I am not here to replace what my parents or the people in the company built before me.

My responsibility is to contribute to the next part of that work, together with the people around me.

To protect what is worth protecting, improve what needs improving and help make sure SA Möbler remains a strong and relevant Swedish manufacturer for many years to come.
